It goes without saying that style is built off of a unique perspective for each person. But something I have focused on even more over the years is the feelings style can evoke in our day to day lives.
From falling in love with bags and shoes, to covering crooked nails behind walls full of framed photos, my personal style has always felt like an extension of me. Developing over time like a character in your favorite book.
So what is personal style then? And how does one define theirs?
Think of the colors that make your heart sing, for me it is black. If I could paint every wall in every room matte black, I would. Think of the photos that you look back on time and time again. When you walk into a room where does your eye go? Straight for the billowy curtains hanging so perfectly from ceiling to floor? Or the crisp lines of a square table and modern chairs. Think of the pieces from your parents house you still get a glimpse of when you close your eyes.
This is your style. These are the moments to bring to life.
