For The Love of Flowers

Flowers are such a stunning part of most every event I do with Lived X Leigh. They are the piece I look forward to every time, and an accessory I feel brings such class to any occasion.
They welcome people in happy times, comfort you in sad. There is something so therapeutic about purchasing a bundle of buds and curating them into an arrangement.
Here are a few tips I have for making your own arrangements:
1. Rule of Threes - When choosing what flowers to use stick to the rule of threes. Three different types of flowers make for an even combination. I usually find one filler (something dense that can work as a base), something green (any standard greenery), and a pop of color (a bright flower or a color different from the two others).
2. Use A Filler - To make an arrangement that stands out make sure to have a filler flower! This can be hydrangeas, babies breath, or something along those lines. It's the flower that gives a base to your arrangement and helps fill in for building up.
3. The Vase Makes It - The vase is such an important part of any floral arrangment and usually one that is over looked. I personally search for vases before the flowers themselves. I like to match my theme to the vase (ex: if its a more masculine event using leather vases, or a summer garden party using milk glass) and then decide on flowers from there.
